  • Windscribe partners with privacy-first tools beyond VPNs
  • Separate services are meant to keep your data even safer, said Windscribe
  • Windscribe Pro users can claim partner discounts

Windscribe VPN is collaborating with Kagi, Notesnook, Addy.io, and Ente to form a new privacy-centric alliance. This initiative aims to facilitate the creation of a privacy stack that extends beyond the capabilities of even the best VPN services.

Rather than consolidating everything into a single platform, Windscribe offers access to entirely independent services. This approach promotes true compartmentalization across various tools, enhancing user privacy.

Subscribers of Windscribe Pro can take advantage of partner discounts, allowing them to curate their own security and productivity suite tailored to their needs. The partnership encompasses notetaking, email aliasing, and photo/video storage, among other services.

Windscribe believes that a decentralized collection of specialized services can provide a safer and more resilient alternative to all-in-one ecosystems.

Windscribe CEO: 'Privacy is a cornerstone of freedom'

The partnership announcement emphasizes that by distributing these services among multiple vendors, each company can deliver a superior, privacy-focused experience.

Bundling everything into one platform increases the risk of data breaches affecting a larger portion of your information. Utilizing different tools with unique passwords and two-factor authentication for each enhances security compared to relying on a single tool for all tasks.

"Privacy is a cornerstone of freedom, and with this partnership, we're taking another step toward an internet where users have control, not corporations. By supporting independent, specialized services, we ensure that privacy isn't just a feature, it's a foundation," stated Windscribe's CEO, Yegor Sak, in the official announcement.

Windscribe's Gang

Windscribe has introduced a new page titled "Windscribe's Gang", showcasing its partner companies that offer significant discounts to Pro users. Each partner provides a distinct service, designed to complement rather than replace a VPN client.

Addy.io is an open-source anonymous email forwarding tool that allows users to create different aliases for various services, protecting their primary email from spam.

Control D is a DNS service that blocks threats, malicious content, spam, and advertisements at the DNS level. Ente provides end-to-end encrypted storage for photos and videos.

Kagi is an ad-free search engine that helps users escape the overwhelming Google ecosystem. Lastly, Notesnook is a private, encrypted notes application focused on security.

The entire ecosystem consists of separate tools that Windscribe Pro subscribers can access with substantial discounts, including:

  • Addy.io: 25% off for the first year on Yearly Lite and Yearly Pro plans
  • Control D: 50% off the Full Control plan
  • Ente: 25% off on all plans for the first 12 months
  • Kagi: No discount, but a free 3-month trial of the Kagi Professional plan
  • Notesnook: A 10% lifetime discount on the yearly Notesnook Pro plan
