- Amazon is expanding its collection of free streaming channels through a new partnership with Roku.
- Fire TV users now have access to around 50 free channels from The Roku Channel streaming platform.
- This follows Amazon's recent Fire TV interface upgrade, marking its most significant overhaul in five years.
Following Amazon’s impressive showcase at CES 2026, where it introduced the Ember Artline ‘lifestyle TV’, the company has partnered with Roku to enhance its free streaming content offerings from The Roku Channel, recognized as one of our top free streaming services.
Amazon Fire TV users can now enjoy a selection of approximately 50 new free streaming channels, broadening its extensive collection of FAST entertainment and sports programming. Alongside the new Roku channels, Amazon is also incorporating select channels from Fubo, another popular free streaming service.
A significant advantage of this partnership is that no additional subscriptions or hardware, such as streaming sticks, are required for free viewing. Previously, Roku’s flagship FAST service was exclusive to Roku devices, including the Roku Streaming Stick Plus and the Roku Pro Series (2025). However, the company is gradually shifting away from that model while enhancing its channel offerings. In October 2025, Roku devices in the UK received over 40 new free TV channels.
New FAST content from The Roku Channel can be found in the updated Live Guide tab on Fire TV devices, which serves as a hub for all of Amazon’s free streaming platforms, including PlutoTV, Tubi, and Freevee.
With The Roku Channel joining the Fire TV family of FAST services, the total now stands at 14 free-to-stream options, offering over 1,900 channels across these platforms, featuring dedicated channels for reality TV, classic films, food, 24/7 news, and more.
This development not only increases access to Roku channels for non-Roku device owners but also enhances Fire TV's value by expanding its entertainment options for customers.
Recently, Amazon revamped the Fire TV interface for the first time in five years, allowing users to pin up to 20 of their favorite streaming services on the homepage, making it easier to discover the new array of free Roku channels.
