Dreame started as a robot vacuum brand and has since expanded to include various air-focused appliances like manual vacuums and hair dryers. Established in 2017/18, it has quickly become a significant player in these markets, featuring prominently in my best cordless vacuum and best robot vacuum rankings.
At CES 2026, I was eager to see what new innovations Dreame would unveil. I anticipated a new robot vacuum or perhaps some advanced air purifiers. However, I was taken aback when Dreame announced its foray into virtually every home appliance imaginable. If you can conceive of it, Dreame likely has it in its lineup.
The company now offers TVs, soundbars, projectors, and surround sound systems. It has introduced a Dreame action camera, smart rings, smart glasses, and a smartwatch. Additionally, there are smart lights, security cameras, smart locks, and motion sensors.
On the kitchen front, Dreame has fridges, dishwashers, microwaves, and various ovens, along with air fryers, coffee machines, and stand mixers. The lineup also includes washing machines, tumble dryers, and steamers, as well as more unconventional items like chainsaws, hedge trimmers, electric toothbrushes, razors, IPL machines, and LED face masks.
Interestingly, a car was even displayed at the Dreame booth, albeit still in prototype form.
The vision, as stated in the press release, is to transition from a standalone smart device brand to a comprehensive provider of connected lifestyles, covering the home, garden, outdoors, and travel. Their tagline, "All dreams in one Dreame," raises eyebrows for its lack of clarity.
Too far, too soon?
Having tested several Dreame products, I have generally been impressed. However, this latest expansion feels rushed and overly ambitious. The lack of detailed information about the individual products I was most interested in has only heightened my concerns.
Previously, Dreame's expansions made sense, such as the connection between vacuum cleaners and hair dryers. Yet, I struggle to see how their expertise translates to coffee machines or TVs—categories that require specialized knowledge to excel. The same applies to smartwatches and action cameras.
Of course, I have yet to test any of these new gadgets; my impressions are based solely on their display and demonstrations, which are not reliable indicators of quality. Ultimately, the true test will come with hands-on experience, and I hope to be pleasantly surprised.
