- Rockstar Games has launched its new modding storefront, Cfx Marketplace
- The website is currently available to a select few GTA Online and Red Dead Online creators who can sell their mods to players
- Some mods are free, while others will be paid
Rockstar Games has introduced the Cfx Marketplace, a dedicated platform for the buying and selling of GTA Online and Red Dead Online mods.
The Cfx Marketplace is officially live and is described as a "curated digital storefront where talented FiveM/RedM creators can share and sell their work" (via IGN).
According to the homepage, it is "made just for you. The official Rockstar modding UGC marketplace for RedM & FiveM. Discover assets, scripts and upload your own creations using the portal."
Currently, the site is accessible only to a select group of creators, but players interested in modding can browse the storefront and purchase both free and paid mods.
Among the mods already available are new maps, characters, outfits, vehicles, customizable features, scripts, and more, all designed to enhance the gaming experience.
Creators can sell individual mods or bundles that include multiple items, with some already achieving thousands of downloads.
Historically, Rockstar and its parent company Take-Two were opposed to modding, even labeling FiveM, a site hosting GTA Online mods, as a piracy platform a few years ago.
However, the studio later acquired Cfx.re, a prominent GTA Online modding team, in 2023, which likely influenced the launch of the Cfx Marketplace.
At present, Rockstar's new modding site is limited to GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, but it may eventually support Grand Theft Auto 6 mods when the game is released on PC, or even for the next version of GTA Online.
The game is anticipated to launch on November 19, 2026, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
