Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will receive a free PlayStation 5 and PC update, coinciding with the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox editions.
The announcement was made via a recent social media post, confirming that the PS5 and PC patch will be available on January 22, aligning with the launch of the Switch 2, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S versions of the game.
This patch will introduce Streamlined Progression, a feature initially announced only for the Switch 2 and Xbox.
The game assist features will maximize players' HP and MP, providing a significant advantage in battles and ensuring they cannot die.
Damage inflicted on enemies will also be capped at 9,999, while the Limit and ATB gauges will be fully charged, allowing players to acquire the maximum number of certain items. Additionally, players will benefit from max Materia levels, 2x EXP, and 3x AP gains.
Director Naoki Hamaguchi stated, "After we announced Streamlined Progression for FFVII Remake, we received numerous requests to extend the update to PC and PS5 as well." In response, he added, "We’ve decided to roll out the update across all platforms, timed with the launch of the Switch 2 and Xbox versions. I’m excited for even more players to experience it."
