NYT Strands today (game #684) - the answers

The answers for today's Strands, game #684, are:

  • JOKER
  • ROBIN
  • CAPE
  • MANOR
  • JUSTICE
  • PENGUIN
  • VENGEANCE
  • SPANGRAM: BATMAN
  • My rating: Easy
  • My score: Perfect

The most challenging part of today's game was the final word – VENGEANCE – which took longer than expected. I also spent time searching for CAVE, a notable absence from the world of BATMAN.

My favorite version of the Caped Crusader remains the original 1960s Adam West portrayal, and I find it disheartening that Bruce Wayne's character has become increasingly somber over the years; the recent Robert Pattinson version could benefit from a more lighthearted approach.

Yesterday's NYT Strands answers (Thursday, January 15, game #683)

  • DRUM
  • CANAL
  • LOBE
  • ANVIL
  • HAMMER
  • CARTILAGE
  • SPANGRAM: HEARHEAR
