- The Galaxy S26 could go on sale on March 11
- That would follow a launch announcement on February 25
- We're expecting to see three models
Samsung has struggled to maintain a consistent launch schedule for its flagship Galaxy phones, unlike Apple with the best iPhones. It appears that in 2026, the release dates will shift once again.
According to Dealabs (via Wccftech), the Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to be available for purchase on Wednesday, March 11, following a launch event on February 25.
For context, the Samsung Galaxy S25 was unveiled on January 22, 2025, and became available on February 3, just a couple of weeks later.
While it's common for announcement and sale dates to differ, the 2026 Galaxy flagships seem to be launching significantly later than their 2025 counterparts, as has been previously rumored.
Three Models Incoming
Although the reasons for the delayed launch of the Galaxy S26 phones remain unclear, speculation suggests that uncertainty regarding a successor to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge may be a factor.
Reports indicate that the Galaxy S25 Edge has not performed well in sales (similar to the iPhone Air), prompting Samsung to reconsider its lineup and potentially reintroduce the Plus model, which was rumored to be retired.
Currently, we anticipate the release of the Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra in February. A successor to the mid-range Samsung Galaxy S25 FE may also be launched later in the year.
