Dreame X60 Max Ultra: Impressive Features but Lacks Excitement

Dreame is known for producing some of the best robot vacuums, and I recently got a sneak peek at their latest flagship model, the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete, at CES 2026. It certainly looks impressive, equipped with all the features one would expect from this brand.

However, I find it challenging to feel overly excited about it. This is partly due to the high standards set by its predecessor, the X50 Ultra, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The X60 retains many of the same standout features, albeit with some enhancements.

Notable features include a navigation puck that retracts to be flush with the robot when it detects low spaces, stilts that help it navigate over tall thresholds, and a dock that can wash and dry the mop pads using hot water.

Go Shorty

One significant change in the X60 is its reduced height. Dreame claims it is now the "industry's thinnest robot vacuum," measuring just 3.13 inches (7.95 cm) tall, compared to 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) for the X50. This slim profile is advantageous for accessing low furniture, although it is only slightly shorter than the Roborock Saros 10, which measures 3.1 inches (8 cm).

What other improvements can users expect over the X50? The dock has seen a significant upgrade, with the mop cleaning temperature increased to a staggering 212°F (100°C), which should ensure thorough cleaning.

Dreame has also catered to pet owners with a dual detergent dispenser that includes a specialized cleaning solution for eliminating pet odors.

The navigation system has been enhanced, with improved threshold-crossing capabilities. The 'Dirt Detection' mode can now identify and respond to less visible messes, such as pet hair and light liquids. Additionally, suction power has been further increased.

I look forward to seeing how these upgrades perform in real-world testing once we have a model available.

The X60 Max Ultra Complete is priced at $1,699.99 (approximately £1,265 / AU$2,540, with UK and AU pricing yet to be confirmed). However, I suspect it will often be available at a lower price. Preorders are currently open in the US, with discounts already offered.
