Dreo's TurboCool Fans Deliver Refreshing Mist for Ultimate Comfort

On the fourth day of CES, I found myself feeling fatigued from the early mornings and the dry air of Las Vegas. However, a visit to the Dreo booth revitalized my spirits.

The highlight was the TurboCool series of fans, which provided a powerful blast of air while enveloping me in a refreshing mist. I could have stood there all morning.

Misting fans are currently trending, likely due to the popularity of the Shark FlexBreeze, which is featured in our best fan guide. However, Dreo's offering stands out, especially for those prioritizing misting.

The TurboCool lineup includes three models. My favorite is the compact 516S, ideal for indoor use. For more intense cooling, the tower version (765S) is available, along with an outdoor misting tower fan.

All models come with built-in water tanks and misting capabilities, which can be turned off if desired. A key feature of the indoor models is their ultrasonic mist technology, which ensures that the mist evaporates almost instantly, preventing dampness on furniture.

During my testing, I stood close to the fan with all models on full blast, and my hair remained completely dry, even after several minutes.

Despite the quick evaporation of mist particles, the cooling effect is substantial. The tower model can lower room temperatures by up to 10°F (~15.5°C), while the mini version can reduce temperatures by up to 5°F (~2.5°C).

It's important to note that regular fans do not actually lower room temperatures, but misting fans can provide genuine cooling.

Control options are plentiful; the indoor tower fan features 12 speed settings and 4 mist levels, while the compact version offers 6 fan speeds and 3 mist levels. Additionally, smart control is available through Dreo's companion app.

The Dreo TurboCool series is set to launch in the US and UK in April 2026, with prices starting at $99 for the 516S, $179.99 for the outdoor tower fan (711AS), and $199.99 for the indoor tower fan (765S). UK prices are expected to be similar, around £75 for the 516S, £135 for the 711AS, and £150 for the 765S.
