- Changes to the ChatGPT web app suggest a new Jobs feature may be on the way
- A dedicated dashboard could focus on job searching, preparation, and training
- The company aims to provide OpenAI Certifications to upskill 10 million Americans by 2030
OpenAI is reportedly testing a new 'Jobs' feature within ChatGPT, aimed at enhancing users' career development by offering training and upskilling opportunities while facilitating career transitions.
Tech industry expert Tibor Blaho noted recent changes to the ChatGPT web app, indicating that this could be OpenAI's next initiative following the introduction of a dedicated Health dashboard, which integrates data from various health platforms.
The new Jobs dashboard is expected to function similarly, accessible through a new sidebar tab featuring its own experiences and integrations.
Is OpenAI working on ChatGPT Jobs?
With the introduction of a Jobs tool, OpenAI could assist users in refining their resumes and cover letters, identifying suitable job roles, showcasing upskilling plans, and comparing job opportunities based on individual goals.
The company has been experimenting with similar tools. In September 2025, Applications CEO Fidji Simo announced plans to expand the OpenAI Jobs Platform, designed to connect employers with candidates possessing AI skills.
"We’ll use AI to help find the perfect matches between what companies need and what workers can offer," Simo stated.
Additionally, the company unveiled the OpenAI Certifications scheme, aiming to certify 10 million Americans by 2030.
A more centralized Jobs dashboard was hinted at during that announcement, with Simo mentioning, "We’ve still got a long way to go, but this is an important step in the right direction."
While OpenAI has not officially confirmed the development of a Jobs platform, the visible changes suggest that it could be launched sooner rather than later.
