The OTOE tile stood out immediately while I was reviewing today’s game, allowing me to quickly identify what turned out to be the most challenging/purple group. It was a rare treat to get this first.
I found the remainder of the game more challenging, arriving at the JOSTLE quartet through elimination – I might have considered including RANKLE if I hadn’t used it previously.
ACCESSORIES FOR MR. MONOPOLY was a group I assembled while envisioning a cartoon character with a notable moustache and tuxedo, though I couldn't pinpoint him (officially, he’s known as Milburn Pennybags).

What is NYT Connections?
NYT Connections is one of several increasingly popular word games created by the New York Times. It challenges players to identify groups of four items that share a common theme, with varying difficulty levels: green is easy, yellow is slightly harder, blue is often quite challenging, and purple is usually very difficult.
Fortunately, you don't need to solve the final one, as you can deduce it through elimination. Additionally, you can make up to four mistakes, providing some leeway.
It's a bit more complex than games like Wordle, but there are many opportunities for the game to trip you up with clever tricks. Be cautious of homophones and other word games that might obscure the answers.
It's available for free on the NYT Games site for both desktop and mobile users.
